Expansion joints
Expansion joints are used as flexible pipe sections. The expansion joints are mainly used to countervail:
- thermal expansion
- soil subsidence
- vibration
By applying a compensator, the piping and equipment connected will be relieved. This reduces tension (stress) on the relevant sections of the list. The productlife of the pipes and equipment will thus be increased.
Through the use of expansion joints you can be built much more compact, resulting in less pipe length (less pressure loss) and less space is required (lower house).
