Constant Hangers and Constant Supports
Constant hangers and constant supports are used for piping and related components where higher levels of vertical travel occur. Their job is to transfer the working load over the whole travel area while maintaining constancy, i.e., without any considerable deviations. The functional precision of the constant hanger is decisive for the favorable long term behaviour of the components concerned.
The principle of a Constant Hanger
A distinguishing feature of LISEGA constant hangers and constant supports is their unique operating concept. It puts into effect the principle of the parallelogram of forces, which provides the following fundamental advantages:
Absolute constancy based on a principle
Load-symmetrical mechanics and structural shape
No leverage deflection or momentum effects
Directly readable load and travel scales
Load adjustment of 40 - 100 % of nominal load
Special pre-relaxed springs
10,000 load cycles at constant accuracy
Approval by independent authorities
A load range of 70 - 9000 lbs, and a travel range of up to 36 inch are covered as standard. More than 200,000 LISEGA constant hangers and constant supports in use worldwide have proven to be particularly suitable and reliable.

Constant hanger type 11
Series-made standard design, available from stock.
Brackets type 71 for type 11
Series-made standard design available from stock. The brackets can be supplied according to requirements. They can be shop fitted or supplied separately for subsequent fitting on site.
Constant hanger type 12-14
Standard design, multi-cell hanger. Assembly possible at short notice from stock units.
Brackets type 71 for type 12-14
Standard design. The brackets are normally shop assembled. On request they can be supplied loose for assembly on site.

Constant support type 16
Constant supports follow the same design principle as the constant hanger. Instead of the lower connection, they have an upper support tube with a screwed-in adjusting spindle and load plate.
Angulating constant supports type 16
Equipped with ball bush connections. For use where lateral forces from horizontal travel are to be avoided.
Servo hanger type 17
Despite the use of variable spring and constant hangers, piping systems and other components are, under certain conditions, obstructed in their thermal movement by friction or other influences. In such cases servo hangers can be usefully employed.

Constant hanger trapeze type 79
This type of trapeze applies in case of limited installation length where the standard trapeze type 79 does not fit.
