Cryogenic supports have specific characteristics and require specialist experience. These supports are therefore specifically treated. At cryogenic supports the attention focuses mainly on the quality of the insulation and the power distribution over the insulation.
Hanwel offers a full range of insulated cryogenic pipe supports for all types of low-temperature pipe systems. These products are used normally in industrial processes for the production, transport and distribution of liquefied gases, such as propane and butane (LPG), methane (LNG), ethylene, nitrogen or ammonia.
The Hanwel cryogenic pipe supports are standardized and designed according to recognized international technical codes and standards. This include pipe sizes ranging from OD 21.3mm to OD 965.2 mm, with insulation thicknesses of 25 mm to 250 mm. The supports are made of materials which are suitable for the specified loads and temperature (operating temperature down to -196 ° C).
Cryogenic type 56
Type 56 is a conventional insulated pipe support and functions as a slide or guide support.
This patented design offers the advantage of fixing the insulated pipe support to the piping after final positioning. There is no need to disassemble the existing or already installed steelwork. The thrust rings and shear lugs are made of stainless steel and form part of the scope of supply.
