AMM708S butterfly damper for flue gas
Product information
The AMM708S butterfly valve is a heavy duty valve for flue gas up to a maximum operating temperature of 1000ºC. Flue gas systems are characterized by low operating pressures so these valves are manufactured from sheet material as standard and are suitable for operating pressures up to 0.5 bar. This heavy duty series of flue gas valves features a double shaft with double bearing making it suitable for application in a demanding processes and in larger diameters. The valve is designed so that the stuffing box gasket pusher and bolts are not subject to the temperature in the pipe, allowing the stuffing box gasket to be serviced from outside at all times (outside operation).
Depending on the design, different leakage rates can be achieved:
- No seat: rate I ANSI/FCI 70-2 (= relative tightness)
- Metal to metal seat: rate II ANSI/FCI 70-2 (leakage = 0.5% x Kvs)
- Soft seat: rate III ANSI/FCI 70-2 (leakage = 0.1% x Kvs)
- Compressed air system: rate VI ANSI/FCI 70-2 (zero leakage)

Standard part of the delivery is a general arrangement drawing and a 3D file for approval. After approval of the proposed design, we will start production. This avoids surprises and guarantees that valves can always be fitted appropriately.
