The AMM731 butterfly valve is a valve for flue gases up to a maximum operating temperature of 600ºC. Flue gas systems are characterized by low operating pressure so these valves are manufactured from sheet material as standard and are suitable for operating pressures up to 0.5 bar. This series of flue gas valves features an extended bonnet and bracket making it suitable for insulation. The valve is designed so that the stuffing box gasket pusher and bolts are not subject to temperature in the pipe, allowing the stuffing box gasket to be serviced from the outside at all times (outside operation).  

Depending on the design, different leakage rates can be achieved:

- Noseat: rate I ANSI/FCI 70-2 (= relative tightness)

- Metalto metal seat: rate II ANSI/FCI 70-2 (leakage = 0.5% x Kvs)

- Softseat: rate III ANSI/FCI 70-2 (leakage = 0.1% x Kvs)

- Compressed air system: rate VI ANSI/FCI70-2 (zero leakage)

Application

The butterfly valve for flue gas type AMM731 is commonly used for medium to high temperature air and flue gas where the medium has little to no fouling. These valves are fully customizable to your requirements.

Standard part of the delivery is a general arrangement drawing and a 3D file for approval. After approval of the proposed design, we will start production. This avoids surprises and guarantees that valves can always be fitted appropriately.
