The AMM786 butterfly valve is a valve for flue gas up to a maximum operating temperature of 1100ºC. Flue gas systems are characterized by low operating pressure so these valves are manufactured from sheet material as standard and are suitable for operating pressures up to 0.5 bar. This series of flue gas valves is provided with internal insulation layer consisting of refractory lining. The thickness of the lining is determined by the operating temperature in combination with the desired external materials of the housing. The valve is designed so that the stuffing box gasket pusher and bolts are not subject to the temperature in the pipe, allowing the stuffing box gasket to be serviced from the outside at all times (outside operation).  

Depending on the design, different leakage rates can be achieved:

- No seat: rate I ANSI/FCI 70-2 (= relative tightness)

- Metal to metal seat: rate II ANSI/FCI 70-2 (leakage = 0.5% x Kvs)

- Soft seat: rate III ANSI/FCI 70-2 (leakage = 0.1% x Kvs)

- Compressed air system: rate VI ANSI/FCI 70-2 (zero leakage)

Application

The butterfly valve for flue gas type AMM786 is mostly used for flue gases with a very high temperature or where the medium is so abrasive that a protective internal lining is necessary. These valves are fully customizable to your requirements.

Standard part of the delivery is a general arrangement drawing and a 3D file for approval. After approval of the proposed design, we will start production. This avoids surprises and guarantees that valves can always be fitted appropriately.
