Product information

Habonim cryogenic fire block ball valves (FBV) are standard C47W cryogenic ball valves that feature the fire block package making them ESD serviceable. The valves are equipped with a fusible link and a provision for an emergency cable that closes the valve immediately in the event of a fire or other emergency.

Suitable for a temperature range of -269°C to +230⁰C, these ball valves are commonly used on ISO containers for transporting LNG. The valves come standard with extended buttweld (XBW) connections but are available with custom connections.

The minimal liquid layer between bonnet and spindle ensures a leak-free spindle seal. All Habonim cryogenic ball valves feature the patented Total HermetiX™ spindle seal certified to ISO 15848-1 (500,000 cycles) and come standard with double body seals for maximum integrity. The use of short housing bolts minimizes thermal expansion and prevents leakage at the housing seals.
