Diaphragm check valves
Product information
This type of check valve consists of a body part in which a rubber diaphragm is attached. The medium -- often drinking water, wastewater or rainwater -- pushes the diaphragm aside as it passes through the valve, creating a passageway. When medium flows back or when the flow drops off, the membrane forms back to its place, closing the passageway. Thus, the component acts as a check valve and can protect critical equipment.
This design has the following advantages:
- Minimal wear due to lack of moving parts
- Noiseless action due to no valve falling into a seat
- Both horizontal and vertical mounting possible
- This design also stops odors and smells
- Very easy installation
