What will you do?

As an internal sales representative, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the internal sales department for the valve product group. Together with your other internal sales colleague, you will be responsible for the technical sales of valves. While your other colleague focuses on incoming repeat orders, your role is to work with the field sales team to generate revenue growth and new business by attracting and acquiring new customers.

Specifically, your tasks will include:

  • Acquisition from the office (Convincing customers of the Hanwel philosophy and the value this has for the customer)
  • Score orders by assessing, processing, and presenting requests and following up on them at the right time.
  • Evaluate quotes from suppliers to ensure the customer receives the right solution
  • Building and maintaining high-quality relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Answering technical questions from customers
  • Project management of larger orders from start (request) to finish (aftercare)
  • Identify and approach sales leads or pass them on to the field sales team
  • Coordinating role between field service and sales administration
  • As an extension of the field service, accompany customers where necessary and desired

In short: Securing orders is the main focus of this position, which you will preferably do from an office-based role as an extension of the field sales team.

Making a quote is not a goal for you; it's about getting the order. You are sociable, communicative, and good at asking questions so that you know exactly what the customer needs. The team

Hanwel has three independent sales teams, each responsible for its own product group. For the Valves product group, you will work with office colleague Ling and field colleague Okke.
