Why type AS-1? Type AS-1 is a flameproof rubber expansion joint with steel cord inlays and rotatable flanges. Various flange bores are possible. The Stenflex rubber expansion joint type AS-1 is an axial expansion joint without limitation and is universally applicable.

Application
Type AS-1 is an A expansion joint with steel cord inlays, this allows the AS-1 rubber expansion joint to be used up to 130°C. In this way, the expansion joint meets strict flameproof requirements. Due to the flameproof properties, these expansion joints can also be used in fire extinguishing lines.
Flameproof is a requirement in ship engine rooms. The expansion joint has passed flameproof tests by several classification societies and therefore has many type approvals for use on ships. The AS-1 expansion joint is also suitable for use in CV systems and has the TÜV/DIN 4809 certificate.
