The AMM755 bypass valve is a valve for flue gas up to a maximum operating temperature of 600ºC. Flue gas systems are characterized by low operating pressures so these valves are manufactured from sheet material as standard and are suitable for operating pressures up to 0.5 bar.  

This series of flue gas valves consists of a T-piece integrating two separate and mechanically interconnected butterfly valves. Since one valve always opens when the other closes (and vice versa), a bypass function is realized. Depending on customer requirements and wishes, several configurations can be manufactured.

The valve is designed so that the stuffing box gasket pusher and bolts are not subject to the temperature in the pipe, allowing the stuffing box gasket to be serviced from the outside at all times (outside operation).  

Depending on the design, different leakage rates can be achieved:

- No seat: rate I ANSI/FCI 70-2 (= relative tightness)

- Metal to metal seat: rate II ANSI/FCI 70-2 (leakage = 0.5% x Kvs)

- Soft seat: rate III ANSI/FCI 70-2 (leakage = 0.1% x Kvs)

- Compressed air system: rate VI ANSI/FCI 70-2 (zero leakage)

Application

The bypass butterfly valve for flue gas type AMM755 is commonly used for medium to high temperature air and flue gas where the medium has little to no fouling. These valves are fully customizable to your requirements.

Standard part of the delivery is a general arrangement drawing and a 3D file for approval. After approval of the proposed design, we will start production. This avoids surprises and guarantees that valves can always be fitted appropriately.
