The Vicoda viscodamper consists of a reservoir containing a viscous fluid. The top of the viscode damper is provided with a stamp that floats in the viscous liquid. The viscode damper sits between the vibrating pipe and the solid world. The viscous property allows slow pipe movements and dampens vibrations.

Application
Vicoda viscodampers are used in addition to ordinary pipe supports (hanging or standing) to absorb vibrations or shocks such as water hammer. Depending on the temperature, application and desired damping, different designs and fillings are possible.
