The Core PTFE plain bearing type BB is the square or rectangular base version with flanges on the long side of the plain bearing. The plain bearing consists of a base plate and one or more PTFE elements. The base plate is bolted to the supporting structure. A loose counter bearing can be applied to the plain bearing or a counter bearing as a fixed part of the pipe shoe.
The PTFE plain bearing type BB is a flat plain bearing so the upper structure may not tilt or bend. Special dimensions and base materials are available upon request.

Application
Applications for Core PTFE plain bearings include high temperature boilers, reactors and long pipeline runs. In addition, there are applications where heavy construction is slowly shifted such as the soccer field at the Gelredome, the retracting of bridges and the launching of ships.
