Stenflex rubber expansion joints type AR-2 (and type AR-4) are A expansion joints reinforced with high-quality aramid inlays. Various flange bores are possible here. Due to the aramid inlays, the AR expansion joints are PN 25 expansion joints that can be used up to 130°C. These expansion joints are the versions for higher pressure loads.
Type AR-2 and Type AR-4:
- In the type AR-2, the tie rods are bounded only on the outside, preventing the expansion joint from extending.
- In the type AR-4, the tie rods are bounded both on the outside and on the inside, preventing the expansion joint from lengthening and compression. As in vacuum.

Application
Stenflex AR expansion joints can be applied at pressures above 16 barg or at a combination of high temperature with relatively high pressure (e.g., 11 barg at 100°C). These versions are well suited when extra safety is desired (burst pressure is higher or equal to 75 barg).
