Stenflex rubber expansion joints type R-2 (and type R-4) are standard rubber expansion joints. These types are similar to A-2 expansion joints, only with an installation length of 130mm. Various flange bores are possible here. The tension rods absorb the pressure reaction force in a system.
Type R-2 and Type R-4:
- In the type R-2, the tie rods are limited only on the outside, preventing the expansion joint from extending.
- In the type R-4, the tie rods are bounded both on the outside and on the inside, which prevents the expansion joint from lengthening and compression. As in vacuum.

Application
Stenflex rubber expansion joints type R-2 and R-4 are general purpose and well suited for absorbing vibration from pumps, absorbing ground settlement or lateral pipe displacements. The type R-2 has a universal, short installation length of 130mm.
