The Stenflex rubber expansion joint type AR-3 is an A-compensator reinforced with high-quality aramid inlays. Various flange bores are possible here. Due to the hinge, the pressure reaction force in a system is absorbed and the expansion joint can only absorb an angular rotation.
Why type AR-3? The type AR-3 is a type A rubber expansion joint reinforced with high-quality aramid inserts. In this way, the AR expansion joint is a PN 25 expansion joint that can be used up to 130°C. The expansion joint is often applied in a set of two for accommodating large lateral displacements

Application
The Stenflex rubber expansion joint type AR-3 can be applied at pressures above 16 barg or at a combination of a high temperature with a relatively high pressure (e.g. 11 barg at 100°C). This version can be used for a higher pressure load, in addition, the expansion joint can also be used when extra safety is required (the burst pressure is higher or equal to 75 barg).
