The Stenflex rubber expansion joint type AS-3 is a flameproof rubber expansion joint with steel cord inlays, rotatable flanges and hinge tensioning. Various flange bores are possible here. Due to the hinge, the pressure reaction force in a system is absorbed and the expansion joint can only absorb an angular rotation.

Application
The Stenflex rubber expansion joint type AS-3 is an A expansion joint with steel cord inlays, this allows the AS expansion joint to be used up to 130°C and meets stringent flameproof requirements.
The AS-3 expansion joint is also suitable for use in central heating systems and has the TÜV/DIN 4809 approval. Because of these flameproof properties, the expansion joint can be used in fire lines.
