Product information

The spring-loaded conical scraper ring can be laid loose on the inlet side of the valve before mounting the valve between the counter flanges.

The ring reduces the inlet of the valve relative to the outlet. The conical shape directs the medium to the center of the passage and prevents solids from remaining in the dead spaces of the valve. In addition, an integrated scraper ring made of bronze or PTFE scrapes the plate clean before it enters the valve during operation. This prevents the medium from sticking to the slide and being pressed into the inner shells, preventing wear of the seals and other internal parts. Finally, the ring protects the valve's bore rings which, as long as the ring is mounted, are completely free of wear. Thus, the conical ring becomes a wear part that can be exchanged preventively when needed.

Application

The tapered scraper ring can be applied when there is a risk that the medium could be pulled into the body with the movement of the slide and thus damage the internal parts. The conical ring can be easily clamped between the flange and the valve. No modification of the valve is required.
